At the weekly Japanese Club meeting.
Kevin Aubin's discussion on what Japanese proper names he would use to compose example sentences for assignmetns or stories for the Japaense Club activities. Kevin is now studying at Kansai Gaidai University, Osaka, Japan as an exchange student (2007-2008). The summer of 2006 was a Copernican turning point for Kevin. He worked, as a volunteer interpreter, for the organizer of the First Women's Volleyball Tournament in Sherbrooke. He worked tirelessly. According to his own words, "That was the most fulfilling summer ever!" Since then, he started studying Japanese as if he were possessed. Other participants on that evening were Mark, Michiko, Chiari (teaching assistant 2006-2007), Shige, Marc-André Tétrault, Etienne and me.

Marc-André McPherson is asking me how to use the relational terms like "right", "left", etc. He is quickly becoming an expert on conversational Japanese as well as J-pop. This is what you will become when you watch too much anime?! If you want to say "Cool!" in Japanese. You should talk to Marc-André. He also knows the words I would rather not write here...! He is also taking "Introduction to Japanese Culture and Society" with me this semester. So I trust that he knows when to use them and when not to use them. Whew!

Andrew Ha is telling where the post office is in Japanese. Two days later, on Halloween, Andrew came to class as "corn flakes". He was just too big to be able to sit on a chair. But his Japanese was just fine. He was finally able to sit and was very happy...
