(Class of 2003; Major Modern Languages with concentrations in German Studies and Hispanic Studies/Minor International Studies)

After my B.A., I thought of doing a Master’s degree in International Development, but decided instead to postpone my project to earn a bit of money first. That’s how I started working as a substitute teacher for English and Spanish in a high school. Now, five years later, I’m still teaching languages and I’m even offering German as an extra-curricular activity! I don’t have my “brevet d’enseignement” yet but started some courses and hope to obtain it in the near future.

My B.A. in Modern Languages helped me find the ideal job that really suits my interests. Moreover, when I’m traveling, I can easily get in contact with people from around the world. The B.A. in Languages can open so many doors; you just have to have enough determination and focus to know which door to open. In the end, it’s worth the challenge!
