(Class of 2007; Major Modern Languages with concentrations in German Studies and Hispanic Studies/Minor Political Science)
I am currently doing a Master’s in International Affairs at Carleton University in Ottawa. In the summer of 2007, I had a student job at Quebec’s Ministère des Relations internationales. I currently work part-time as a tutor for the Carleton’s Writing Tutorial.
To me, the B.A. in Modern Languages was a means to an end: I am convinced it will give me a strong advantage on the job market once I have completed my Master’s degree. My B.A. and especially my two semesters abroad in Germany and Chile have allowed me to further develop my communicative skills and to become aware of different perspectives, cultures and mentalities.
