Italian director Ettore Scola follows a bus route that goes through Rome and spontaneously chronicles the lives of the people living in the Italian capital, going from neighbourhood to neighbourhood, featuring professional and non-professional actors, who pay tribute, often humorously, to the vibrant life of the city. This particular scene, somewhat comical, shows an old man and his son having dinner at a restaurant; the old man being bitter about the fact that his son wants to take him to a retirement home as he suffers from Alzheimer.
