Changes to the French programme
In an ongoing effort to adapt to the needs of its students and the community, the members of the Département d’études françaises et québécoises are currently working on restructuring the programme. Results will only appear in the 2014-2015 University Calendar. We intend to focus primarily, in future years, on the acquisition and the quality of the French language, spoken and written, both as a first and a second language. Therefore, there will be more language, phonology, conversation, writing, comparative grammar, translation courses, etc. The number and nature of our literature courses will also be modified. Please note, therefore, that the current calendar does not yet reflect these changes to come.
