"Sticks and Stones" by James Reaney
Directed by David Ferry
Centennial Theatre March 14-18.
Sticks and Stones depicts the exciting events that took place when the Donnelly’s, Irish settlers, tried establishing themselves in the then very violent society of rural Ontario in 1847.
We follow the story of a feud between Catholics and Protestants recounting the history of that locality.
Directed by award winning actor/director, David Ferry, the show has puppets, live music, singing and dancing.
David Ferry is a native of St. John’s Newfoundland. Over the last 35 years he has worked extensively both on stage and in film.
David was in the original production of Sticks and Stones and brings his wealth of knowledge about James Reaney and this play in particular to the students.
Bishop’s Drama is delighted to have Mr. Ferry as this years’ guest director.
