BISHOP'S UNIVERSITY DRAMA DEPARTMENT
-PRESENTS-

The first great realist play, the first feminist play, a taut psychological thriller---A Doll's House is a powerful drama about a woman's struggle to save her family and discover her true identity. Is Nora Helmer "a liar, a hypocrite, and a criminal" as her husband describes her, or is she, in fact, a woman with a moral code more highly developed than that of the society in which she lives. When A Doll's House was first presented on the stages of Europe it was so controversial that dinner invitations of the time often carried the following warning: "A Doll's House will not be discussed."
This is a rare opportunity to see one of the great plays of modern drama performed by Bishop's best student actors.
