Graduate Courses - Spring 2013

Master of Education (M.Ed.) in three concentrations: Educational Leadership, Curriculum Studies, Art Education

The School of Education offers a Master of Education program on a part-time basis for practicing teachers and school administrators in three concentrations: Educational Leadership, Curriculum Studies, and Art Education.

Courses are given during fall, winter, spring and summer sessions in a schedule designed to accommodate practicing teachers and school administrators. Throughout the fall, winter and spring courses are normally scheduled on week-ends; during the summer courses are held on week days through July and early August. Most graduate courses have an on-line component in addition to face-to-face sessions given on the Bishop’s campus or at selected locations in school boards of the province.

Some compulsory courses are common to all three concentrations in Educational Leadership, Curriculum Studies and Art Education. Other specialization courses are specific to each of the concentrations. Students are required to complete a nine credit Exit Project, Monograph or Art Exhibition in consultation with a University supervisor as the final stage of the program.
