REGULATIONS

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SUMMER SCHOOL 2013

Language:

  1. Students must speak English at all times and must sign a pledge, agreeing to speak English at all times upon arrival to the programme.
  2. A student speaking a language other than English will receive a warning for each offence.
  3. Upon receiving the 3rd warning, the student will be asked to leave the programme.

Behavioural:

  1. Students must attend all classes, participate in all compulsory activities and comply with the academic obligations of the programme. In the event of illness, students will require a medical authorization to be absent from classes. (Any absence without permission or written authorization will result in a warning).
  2. Students must be respectful and professional towards their colleagues, professors, monitors and community members both on and off campus.
  3. Students will be allowed to make 2 fifteen minute phone calls per week in their own language.
  4. All absences, at any time, require a special permission signed by the director of the programme.
  5. Students are not allowed to have visitors during the programme.
  6. It is not permitted to use the outdoor swimming pool after hours (when lifeguard is not on duty).
  7. Ambulance and travels costs to and from hospitals will be assumed by the students.
  8. Students are expected to abide by all University policies as outlined by the « Student Code of Conduct» and «Student Rights and Responsibilities» found on our University Policies Website.
  9. Smoking is not permitted in the university or in any other building on campus.
  10. Students may not use their vehicles throughout the program without a special permission.
  11. Special permission forms must be submitted to the Director at least 24 hours prior to the requested absence.
  12. ANY OTHER FLAGRANT DISREGARD OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE PROGRAMME AND THE UNIVERSITY, OR OF GENERAL RULES OF GOOD CONDUCT WILL LEAD TO DISMISSAL.
