Dean’s Message

At the Williams School of Business (WSB) we are exclusively focused on an undergraduate business education of unmistakable quality.   Whether you choose to pursue one of our specialized BBA options or the more open BA Major in Business, you will find that our collective talent, attention and resources are devoted to delivering a solid educational foundation in business, immersed within a small-school, liberal education experience.   Choosing our program means that you are ready to be part of an engaged learning community, and committed to learning with others.   You will work closely with fellow students and professors in your classes.  Our program is designed to operate on a human scale, one that allows everyone a chance to learn through frequent interaction and problem solving.  You will also have many occasions to work on real projects of significance within the business community through our practice partnerships and cooperative education initiatives.

 Our professors take great pride in being at their best in the classroom through their diversity, innovative teaching and ongoing development within their field.    They collectively bring to the classroom years of business experience, high levels of academic preparation from around the world and an ongoing engagement in research and practice to keep our knowledge cutting and current.   We are an internationally experienced faculty preparing you for a global workplace.

Graduates tell us repeatedly in words and surveys that WSB professors have made a distinct difference in their learning and development, and that this has facilitated earning the careers they enjoy today.  Our alumni work around the world in most every business imaginable, and at impressive levels of importance.  For all of them it began in our undergraduate program, one that prepared them for advanced study in business (MBA; PhD) and related fields (e.g., law), or for immediate entry into the workforce and profession of choice.
