Creatively Yours: A Mosaic of Bilingual Readings

October 22, 2012

Sherbrooke, QC - As part of a series of activities to mark the 100th Anniversary of the Bibliothèque Lennoxville Library, Creatively Yours: A Mosaic of Bilingual Readings will bring together an exceptional group of authors: Anne Fortier, Ross Murray, Patrick Nicol, Huguette O’Neil, Anne Brigitte Renaud and Michèle Plomer, who will also be the moderator for the evening. Additionally, two students from Bishop’s University’s Drama Department will be reading from one of Professor George Rideout’s plays.

The pairing of award-winning authors with talented new writers – all from the Eastern Townships – offers an ideal setting for community members to gather and enjoy readings, some in English and some in French, in celebration of creativity, diversity and the pleasure of the art of storytelling.

Creatively Yours: A Mosaic of Bilingual Readings takes place Wednesday, October 24th starting at 7 p.m. in the Bandeen Hall. The Bandeen building is situated next to the John Bassett Memorial Library, on Bishop's University’s campus. Entrance is free however campus parking fees apply. The event is co-sponsored by Champlain College, the Townshippers’ Foundation, the Borough of Lennoxville and Bishop’s University.

Following the presentations there will be an opportunity to purchase books, have books signed, and meet the seven distinguished authors.
