Bishop’s University Announces its Top 10 After 10 for 2011

SHERBROOKE, QC — Bishop’s University is set to welcome and celebrate its Top 10 After 10 honourees for 2011. The program, launched in 2009, is designed to highlight the achievements of Bishop’s alumni who have graduated within the previous ten to twenty years.

Chosen by a distinguished panel of Bishop’s graduates, chaired by Chancellor Scott Griffin ’60, the ten members are representative of the Bishop’s University alumni population, reaching from coast to coast and internationally. They are:

“These ten graduates personify the best of Bishop’s University. They work in diverse fields but they share a common drive to excel and to make a difference in the world. They exemplify the benefits of a liberal education,” said Principal Michael Goldbloom, “The Bishop’s community is proud of these remarkable individuals. They have become prominent corporate leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs, social influencers and role models.”

Bishop’s will welcome these ten accomplished young graduates back to campus on October 13 - 14, 2011 to celebrate their success with the Bishop’s community and involve them in a number of events with students and faculty with a particular focus on having them share their knowledge and advice with current students.

“The selection committee received over 100 nominations. It is not an easy task narrowing a very talented pool of graduates down to just 10,” said Chancellor Griffin. “It is an honour to recognize the accomplishments of these young graduates.”
